If you're looking for a great sushi spot with reasonable lunch prices, this strip mall gem is a must-visit. Despite its popularity during lunch hours, we were promptly seated thanks to our reservation. I was here for a business meeting, and even with the lively atmosphere, we could easily hold our discussion. The staff were attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring our teacups were always full without interrupting our conversation. Both the Chirashi Don and Premium Chirashi Don were exceptional. The $13 price difference for the premium version is justified: it comes in a larger bowl and includes jumbo shrimp, sea urchin, and roe. Each meal also starts with a delicious miso soup, setting the perfect tone for the meal. Overall, this sushi spot is worth trying out. With its friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, and delicious offerings, it's a place you'll want to return to again and again.

I've only dined here for lunch, but that's because they have some great lunch specials! They have a great chirashi bowl for $22, and if you're feeling extra hungry, you can get a premium chirashi bowl for $35. They also have a $20 lunch combo which comes with miso, and your pick of an entree and a side. I usually get the salmon skin salad and mix tempura (and the generous serving size is plenty to fill me up, especially for lunch), but they have a variety of entree options from udon to terikyaki to grilled fishes (like seabass and hamachi kama). Everything I've had here so far has been fresh and delicious! They open at 11:30am and it usually fills up quickly, so if you get there around noon you might have to wait a few minutes for a spot to open up.

I was looking for a place to eat that I hadn't been to. I saw a ton of people gathered around Kiro Sushi. I figured it had to be good, so I got in line. At opening time, the entire place was full. I got a seat at the sushi bar. I really enjoy watching the Master chefs at work. I ended up having the teriyaki chicken lunch special and Gyoza. I had a spicy tuna roll as my side. I enjoyed my food very much. Everything was tasty. Watching the chefs and the food that was being served really made me hungry for sushi and sashimi. I'm definitely coming back

RUN--don't walk to this sushi joint in North OC. If you value quality sashimi and seafood, Kiyo is the place to go. On several occasions I've ordered their premium chirashi bowl which is consistently a hit. They have a variety of fish and each cut is fairly thick as well. My personal favorites have to be the jumbo scallops, live shrimp, and toro. I share this bowl and another appetizer (typically their garlic edamame, but beware it's pretty spicy) with my partner, and we're usually full to the brim. What's even better is that if you come during lunch hours, their premium chirashi bowl goes down to only $35. One thing to note is their subpar service. During peak lunch or dinner hours will have these understaffed workers running around and often taking longer than necessary to serve you. It's not terrible to the point where I'm upset, but it's definitely noticeable. I will say their food comes out FAST though-our food arrived in less than 10 minutes.
